CORE is now part of X12

CORE Operating Rules are now formally part of X12, bringing operating rule development, certification oversight, and standards development under a single organization. By integrating widely adopted business rules with the X12 transaction standards they support, the industry gains a more unified, transparent, and coordinated approach to administrative simplification. This alignment strengthens interoperability, reduces variability across implementations, and ensures that both standards and operating rules evolve together to meet real‑world provider and health plan needs.
