Question RE Reserved NUBC codes
Description
Hello, is it alright for Revenue code 0195 and 198 to be used by providers even though they are reserved by NUBC. As long as there is a contractual agreement between the payor for specific SNF claims only.
Scenario
837 Institutional with reserved NUBC Revenue code 195 by contract only for SNF claims.
RFI Response
It is not within X12’s purview to comment on the usage of NUBC UB-04 codes used within X12 TR3s as X12 does not own or maintain the code list.

X12 cannot comment on a payer’s policy or procedure regarding the usage of these codes.
