Description
The Application Reporting for Insurance 824 (005010X186) is a TR3 for use by the Insurance industry, which includes Health Care. Is it permissible to acknowledge this transaction with the Implementation Acknowledgment for Health Care Insurance 999 (005010X231A1)?

Yes, it is appropriate and in fact encouraged to respond using the transaction set 999 based on the999 Implementation Acknowledgment for Health Care Insurance (005010X231A1) TR3 to acknowledge the receipt and syntactic status of a received transaction set 824 based on the 824 Application Reporting for Insurance (005010X186) TR3 contained within a functional group.
