DN104 usage in 837D
Description
Is it compliant with TR3 to use DN104 element when DN101 is sent in loop 2300? i.e. DN1✽36✽✽Y~
RFI Response
Yes, it is compliant with the requirements of the 005010X224 TR3 and associated errata to use DN104 when DN101 is used as long as DN102 is not used. The Situational Rule for DN104 states “Required to indicate that the services reported on this claim are for orthodontic purposes and both DN101 and DN102 are not submitted. If not required by this implementation guide, do not send.”
It would also be compliant with the requirements of the 005010X224 TR3 and associated errata to use DN104 if DN102 is used as long as DN101 is not used.
