Loop 2000A of 005010X216 provides AAA for rejection
1. Loop 2000B is required unless
"If the information receiver’s system was unable to process any data beyond Loop 2000A,then Loop 2000B is not used"
I Interpret to mean that a AAA at loop 2000A, 2000B is omitted
2. Loop 2000C. "Required when the information receiver detected no errors at the parent level (Loop 2000B)"
Because my error was at the 2000A loop, 2000C is required
3. Loop 2000D. "Required when valued on the notification and the information receiver detected no errors at the parent level (Loop 2000C)"
Because my error was at the 2000A loop, this loop is required
4. Loop 2000E and 2000F "Required when the information receiver detected errors at the patient event..."
Errors were not detected at this (or subsequent) these loops are omitted
Are the above assumptions correct?
The intent of the guide instructions is only to return data up to the point where the transaction is being rejected. In other words, if the transaction is rejected at 2000A then any other subsequent loop is not required to be returned. The Work Group will review and update the situational rules to clarify this intent in a future guide.
