SVC_01_001 equals NU with HCPCS
Description
Please confirm if HCPCS can be reported in SVC_01_02 when the value reported in SVC_01_01 equal NU.
RFI Response
Since HCPCS codes are identified in SVC01 by SVC01-01 using code HC and Code NU refers to the NUBC Revenue codes, it is inappropriate to report HCPCS codes in SVC01-02 when the code value in SVC01-1 is NU. Only NUBC Revenue codes can be used in SVC01-02 when SVC01-01 equals NU.
