X12 Announces Fall 2025 Officer Elections
X12 officer elections are conducted electronically in advance of each standing meeting. Electronic elections ensure:
- Consistency between groups so that member representatives and materially interested non-members alike understand the process and recognize it as reasonable and fairly administered.
- Preservation of voter privacy in elections.
- Timely notice so all qualified candidates can apply for a position.
The Process
The table below lists the open positions for this election cycle. Each position is for a 2-year term, beginning October 9th, 2025.
If you’d like to be considered for one of the officer positions listed below, review the qualifications listed on the online application form to be sure you meet the established qualifications. If you meet the qualifications, submit the online application form by midnight ET on Monday, September 15th, 2025. All those interested in running for an officer position, including incumbents, must apply to be considered for the candidate slate. Applicants may, but are not required to, submit a written candidate statement for inclusion on the election ballot. Keep in mind that in-person attendance requirements for officers were reinstated in 2024.
After the application period closes, applications will be vetted based on corporate and committee policies to ensure each applicant is qualified to run for the position. All qualified applicants will be included on the ballot slate. The election ballot opens on September 16th, 2025 and closes at midnight on September 28th, 2025. If there are no qualified candidates for a position, it will not be filled.
