Multiple Crossover Carriers for One Claim on 835
Description
How can we report on the 835 for one claim when there are multiple crossover carriers?
Scenario
A claim has five service lines. Two service lines belong to one crossover carrier, and three belong to another crossover carrier. Since we cannot list the NM1*TT carrier information twice in one CLP, can we report the CLP twice, one for each crossover carrier?
RFI Response
The 2100 NM1 Crossover Carrier Name segment is limited to a single transmission (Segment repeat 1). As a result, it is recommended to separate the claim lines and include the relevant 2100 NM1 segment with the proper crossover carrier details for each line being reported.
