835 LX01 - Loop 2000
Description
Is "0" (number zero) valid for LX01 in Loop 2000?
TR3 notes indicate the value must be unique within each transaction, but does not indicate if LX*0 is acceptable as the first value. Within a single ST/SE transaction set can LX01 start as LX*0...LX*1...LX*2 or should it start with LX*1...LX*2...LX*3?
The TR3 examples on page 111 show LX*1 and LX*110210. LX01 date element type is N0. B.1.1.3.1.1 does not state that zero, "0" is valid or not.
RFI Response
Nothing in the 5010 TR3 indicates that 0 would be an invalid value; therefore, it must be accepted.
