997/999 error for invalid ST
Description
A previously submitted RFI said that when transaction header ST has problems with transaction ID and/or control number, proper 997 or 999 transaction cannot be created for transaction level so functional group should be rejected. What error code should be used in AK9 segment to reject functional group in such situation?

There is not a specific code - for now we suggest you send 5 Number of Included Transaction Sets Does Not Match Actual Count. ASC X12C will enter a DM to add codes to AK905 (Data Element 716) to account for this scenario.
