Description
In the event an Admission Review has been certified for a specific number of days, what Certification Type is used to request additional days before the service is rendered (prior to admission)?
What Certification Type is used to request additional days after the service is rendered (patient is already admitted)?
RFI Response
1. The note on the S - Revised value of UM02 specifically states "use if the requester is revising the specifics of a certification for which services have not been rendered".
2. The note on the 4 - Extension value of UM02 specifically states "Indicates that this is an extension request to a prior approved service".
