Nominations are open for the Edward A. Guilbert Lifetime Achievement, Earl “Buddy” Bass Achievement, and Distinguished Service awards. These awards are typically presented annually, as part of the Winter Standing Meeting.
The Edward A. Guilbert lifetime achievement award is based on long-term contributions and activities. Candidates must meet the following criteria.
- Be an X12 individual member or an employee of an X12 organizational member or an employee of an X12 stakeholder.
- Exhibit ongoing and continuous outstanding leadership as a proponent of X12 Standards over a number of years.
- Be a long-term participant in the development and implementation of X12 Standards.
The Earl “Buddy” Bass achievement award is based on contributions and activities over the previous 12 to 18 months. Candidates must meet the following criteria.
- Be an X12 individual member or an employee of an X12 organizational member or an employee of an X12 stakeholder.
- Exhibit leadership as a proponent of X12 Standards.
- Exhibit clear expertise in the implementation and use of X12 Standards.
The Distinguished Service award recognizes member representatives who have made significant contributions to X12 at their professional retirement. To be eligible a member representative must meet the following criteria:
- Be an established X12 contributor who has actively participated in X12 collaborations over a period of at least 15 years.
- Be retired from active employment.
- Be an active proponent of the X12 organization and of the X12 standards.
