Sales Tax Submitted via Paper
Description
If a paper claim is submitted with multiple service lines and a single sales tax amount how should the sales tax be displayed on the 835 in order to be compliant?
RFI Response
Communications with the submitter identified that this question is specific to a dental claim.
Since the Dental paper claim only allows Tax at the claim level, the 835 should reflect that same level. The AMT at the 2100 would be used with T for TAX.
