Informational Forum for Three TR3s: 276 and 277s
X12 will conduct an informational forum related to the above implementation guides on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
The Health Care Claim Status Request and Response Implementation Guide (007030X329) describes the use of the X12 Health Care Claim Status Request (276) transaction set and the X12 Health Care Information Status Notification (277) transaction set to request the status of health care claim(s) and respond with information regarding the specified claim(s).
The Health Care Claim Acknowledgment Implementation Guide (007030X330) describes the use of the X12 Health Care Information Status Notification (277) transaction set to acknowledge receipt of electronically submitted claim data and indicate the data’s acceptance, rejection or forwarding to another entity.
The Health Care Claim Request for Additional Information Implementation Guide (007030X340) describes the use of the X12 Health Care Information Status Notification (277) transaction set to request additional information to support a health care claim or encounter.
These implementation guides were developed by X12’s Insurance Subcommittee and were recently the subject of public reviews. The public review comments and associated work group responses will be reviewed at the informational forum. This is the final opportunity for public discussion of the comments and any resulting revisions.
The draft revisions, submitted comments, and associated responses are available athttp://forums.x12.org until the conclusion of the informational forum. The drafts are provided for public review and cannot be used for any other purpose without permission from X12. Responses to all comments will be posted no later than fifteen (15) days prior to the informational forum.
