RSC Action Groups are subordinate to a specific RSC subcommittee. Within the X12-03 ECO subcommittee, an action group is commonly referenced as a Code Maintenance Group, or CMG.
Officer Qualifications
- An RSC action group officer must be a member representative of a For-Profit Organization, Non-profit Organization, Government Agency, or an Individual Member to be eligible to hold an elected office. A member representative of an Academic Associate, Honorary Associate (previously known as Member Emeritus), Reciprocal Associate, or Transitional Associate is not eligible to hold an elected office.
- An RSC action group officer must be a recognized action group constituent.
- An RSC action group officer shall not serve concurrently as chair of two RSC action groups
- An RSC action group officer shall not concurrently serve as chair of an RSC action group and chair of an RSC subcommittee, except at the request of the RSC chair.
- An RSC action group officer shall not concurrently serve as an elected officer in the RSC and an elected officer in the ASC
- The action group chair and vice-chair shall not both be representatives of the same RSC stakeholder
The duties of an action group vice-chair include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Assisting the action group chair as requested
- Assuming the duties of the action group chair in the chair’s absence or resignation
- Other duties as assigned by the action group chair or the parent subcommittee chair
