RSC Action Group Vice-chair Responsibilities and Criteria

RSC Action Groups are subordinate to a specific RSC subcommittee. Within the X12-03 ECO subcommittee, an action group is commonly referenced as a Code Maintenance Group, or CMG.

Officer Qualifications

  1. An RSC action group officer must be a member representative of a For-Profit Organization, Non-profit Organization, Government Agency, or an Individual Member to be eligible to hold an elected office. A member representative of an Academic Associate, Honorary Associate (previously known as Member Emeritus), Reciprocal Associate, or Transitional Associate is not eligible to hold an elected office.
  2. An RSC action group officer must be a recognized action group constituent.
  3. An RSC action group officer shall not serve concurrently as chair of two RSC action groups
  4. An RSC action group officer shall not concurrently serve as chair of an RSC action group and chair of an RSC subcommittee, except at the request of the RSC chair.
  5. An RSC action group officer shall not concurrently serve as an elected officer in the RSC and an elected officer in the ASC
  6. The action group chair and vice-chair shall not both be representatives of the same RSC stakeholder

 

The duties of an action group vice-chair include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Assisting the action group chair as requested
  • Assuming the duties of the action group chair in the chair’s absence or resignation
  • Other duties as assigned by the action group chair or the parent subcommittee chair
